Maintenance Worker (Field Tech)

POSITION: Maintenance Worker

CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-Exempt

INTRODUCTION: Responsible for general maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds work, painting, snow removal, furniture moving and cleaning.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • My initials indicate that I understand and accept these duties as assigned.
  • Please initial each box.
  • Perform all phases of maintenance including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry & general maintenance services.
  • Painting, both interior & exterior.
  • Move furniture & machinery. Some heavy lifting required ( occasionally more than 50 lbs. Using the appropriate Safety equipment provided by CRC )
  • Maintain grounds including seasonal snow removal (shoveling & snowblowing.)
  • Repair and maintain vehicles & equipment.
  • Notify the Department Director of any problems in the facility.

SECONDARY DUTIES

    • Participate in routine monthly inspections.
    • Keep switchboard operator informed of work location in case of emergencies.
    • Report to Director on status of maintenance supplies.
    • Inform Program Directors or Maintenance Director of equipment damage.
    • Keep maintenance work area clean & safe.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
    • Computer related work pertaining to the implementation of the MPULSE Maintenance Work Order System
    • The following list is defined to be other related duties important to the job assigned by the Maintenance Director.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school or technical school graduate preferred, 2-4 years maintenance experience including basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry and a valid Mass. drivers license required.
  • Able to perform heavy lifting (occasionally more than 50 lbs. using appropriate Safety equipment provided by CRC.)
  • And perform heavy physical work. Must have effective written and verbal skills.
