**About Us:**

We are looking for compassionate and committed individuals to join our team of Developmental Specialists to support our members in achieving their personal growth and community involvement goals.

**About the Role:**

The Developmental Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and monitoring Day Habilitation Service Plans (DHSPs) for members. You will provide direct support, conduct behavioral assessments, lead therapeutic activities, and act as a resource for members, families, and team members. Through your guidance, members will develop essential life skills, increase self-reliance, and participate more fully in community activities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Case Management:** Conduct needs assessments, implement DHSPs, and participate in case conferences. Act as a point of contact for members, families, and external agencies.

**Team Leadership and Management:** Supervise and manage a team of 7-9 direct care professionals, providing coaching, performance feedback, and ensuring alignment with program objectives.

  • **Member Support:** Assist members with daily living skills, such as self-care, mobility, and self-direction, using Positive Behavioral Supports.
  • **Data Collection and Documentation:** Track and record member progress, maintain accurate documentation, and generate reports.
  • **Therapeutic Activity Facilitation:** Plan and lead engaging group activities and community outings, fostering an inclusive, goal-oriented environment.
  • **Crisis Intervention:** Execute behavior management plans and provide intervention during crisis situations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and uphold members rights.
  • **Collaboration:** Work alongside therapists and team members to reinforce therapeutic goals, train program staff on DHSPs, and foster a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.

**Qualifications:**

  • **Education:** Bachelors degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with two years healthcare experience accepted.
  • **Skillset:** Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proven ability to work in a team, and familiarity with Positive Behavioral Supports.
