General Description
Community Based Direct Support Professionals provide direct assistance and support services to address the needs of individuals with disabilities and/or their families. Necessary supports for an individual are provided by the Direct Support Professional to assist in learning and maintaining skills. The Direct Support Professional reports directly to and receives weekly and/or as needed support and supervision from their supervisor from within the Community Based Direct Support Program. Will help with budgeting, attending appointments, transportation, shopping and other activities of daily living.
General Qualifications
· High School Diploma or equivalency required.
. At least 18 years of age.
· Associate or Bachelor Degree in Human Services or related field/one year experience working with people with disabilities and their families preferred.
· A safe driving record, current drivers’ license, personal vehicle and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to successfully pass criminal background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.50 per hour
